Regional Sales Manager - Builder Finance

National Ground-Up Construction lender seeks a proven Regional Sales Leader to join the Business Development team.

This highly visible role involves leading and growing a team of skilled loan originators. The ideal candidate must be a leader who can drive a team of loan officers to new heights and work closely with peers to grow the company.

The Ideal candidate will enhance their skills to become an expert in single-family and multifamily investment properties. This includes large single-family rental portfolios, build-for-rent developments, and multifamily value-add projects. You'll have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders while working for one of the most respected and rapidly growing companies.
 

Responsibilities:

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will champion the sales team in acquiring new residential builder clients and maintaining relationships with existing ones. Your expertise will drive the development and implementation of sales training and strategies to identify market opportunities, and establish key partnerships within the real estate and finance sectors. 

In this role, you will collaborate with other departments to ensure flawless execution of lending processes and actively contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company. Your strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills will be pivotal to your success in this role, along with your profound understanding of the lending industry and your ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Channel partners in assigned region.
  • Drive loan origination and growth through effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Use this information to develop a targeted marketing strategy that emphasizes high-growth areas and leverages the strengths of the company's loan products and services.
  • Review and adjust the market strategy regularly based on changes in the market and company performance, and communicate the plan and its progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Meet or exceed loan origination and revenue targets for assigned regions.
  • Work with brokers focusing on loan origination and support questions on underwriting, processes, loan funding, draw process, and loan completion.
  • Provide ongoing support and schedule any company training to channel partners to maximize their performance and loan origination success.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and other relevant departments to prepare project budget review.
  • Collaborate with builders and design teams to ensure projects are being executed as planned and to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct on-site visits to review the progress and quality of construction projects and build lasting relationships with builders or investors.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on budget performance to senior management.
  • Develop a profile of ideal loan officers, including their qualifications, skills, experience, and sales style.
  • Provide competitive compensation and benefits packages and opportunities for professional development to attract and retain top talent.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to loan officers to ensure their success and the success of their loan origination efforts.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 4+ years of proven expertise as a leader of mortgage loan originators

  • Deep knowledge of the mortgage industry (preferably within the Single Family Investment and Multifamily Investment property space)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
